Richard P. MacDonald, Past President of Armstrong has been in the business from the mid-70’s. He started out sweeping chimneys and cleaning heating systems which included air duct cleaning. When Rick became president of the company they dropped heating installation and service and concentrated on providing air duct cleaning and chimney service throughout the region. Presently Armstrong is one of the largest air duct cleaning companies providing HVAC Inspection, Cleaning and Restoration as well as Chimney Sweeping and Repair in the region.
Rick has continued his passion for this industry by attending many continuing education schools and seminars for air duct cleaning and chimneys. Rick has been a member of NADCA The HVAC Inspection, Maintenance and Restoration Association since March of 1990 and has been an active member of NADCA’s board of directors for over seven years currently serving as 2nd Vice President.
Rick is also Co-Chairs NADCA’s Education Committee and Fall Technical Conference,
serves on the Standards Committee and has been involved in writing standards for the air duct cleaning industry.
